Need help with a natural light lamp adjustment

Does anybody have a Natural or native light lamp model N 1190. I have been re- designing the bench again. I have moved the lamp from the top left hand corner to the corner nearest to me.

However the actual head of the lamp ( containing the LEDs ) appears to be stuck. You can hopefully see it in the picture. I want to move the head so it's inline with the frame and in a straight line above the bench, not at angle as it is now! The only adjustment I can find is a cross screw which moves the head up/down. Pictures of the lamp show the head in various positions, not like mine!

Can't find a manual on the web but the adverts say full range of adjustments

My light is similar although not exactly the same. I have just checked mine and the light itself turns. It turns on the join between the long lamp top and the rounded part just below where the cable enters. Maybe yours is just very stiff. To turn mine there is no need to unscrew or release anything, it is just a simple friction swivel.

Thanks Jim, appreciated. will try a tiny drop of oil. Was wondering that but knowing me I'd rip the shade off!! Years of trucks have still left me with quite strong grip and arms lol!

Be aware that the cable going into the top like that signals to me that there is a stop to prevent twisting the cable out of the fitting.
Is it equally stiff in both directions?

I was thinking something similar. My tubed version of this rotates about 340 degrees. It doesn’t rotate round and round. It could be that you are on the stop in the clockwise direction. Try it anti clockwise so the switches are at the back…..

Morning Ian, yes tried gently moving back and for nothing. Will try a small old brush to place oil or a squirt of WD 40

I have the same problem with a similar light. What happens if you turn thd lamp anti clockwise. I'm convinced I should have mine coming from the right and not the left ?

I have had three of these lamps in my den for years, one set up like the picture above which moves easily in both directions (about 340 degrees between stops), the second is slightly stiffer whilst the third one had been impossible to turn without brute force. I solved the problem with the third one by unplugging it from the mains, removed the lamp shade and LED board and adjusted the large nut inside the head (circled in photo). Note that I haven't removed the LED board in this picture.

Fixed yeehaa

Used a old small brush to run oil around the spring washer. Left for 5 mins then gently moved back and for slowly wins the race, then after a few mins movement!
