So what new kits do you want?.....

In my preferred scale, 1:32, there is an influx of large kits, a B17 and Lancaster soon to come. The scope of what can and is modelled in 1:32 is growing way beyond what I would ever expect and these very large 4 engined bombers are even beyond my ability to accommodate with a big 5 storey town house at my disposal!

So what is next I wonder. But the big question really is what kits do people really want to be released with new injection mouldings?

In 1:32 scale my priorities would be the Hawker family:

    Hurricane

    Tempest

    Typhoon

    Sea Fury

Then there is the BP Defiant and the Fairy Battle.

A decent Corsair too (I have read bad reviews of the Trumpy one...)

A Val perhaps and what about the terribly under represented French and Italian aircraft, a SM79 perhaps?

So what would you like to see released? In whatever your preferred scale happens to be.

1/48 Bristol Beaufort and Fairey Battle.I'd like to see Revell do these as theyd be both state of the art and afordable. And a Stirling in the same scale would be nice as well.

Like you Barry I do love the larger scale kits. I already have a Phantom and Hunter built and have a 1/32 F16 waiting in line. I dont really know whats already available in 1/32 so I cant really answer your question because the plane I nominate may already be availble. But I just had to respond to your mention of the Lancaster. A 1/32 Lanc. WOW. What would be the wingspan on that baby?

I enjoyed building the Revell 1/32 JU-88 but am a little undecided if i'd build any more at that size due to space (they'd all have to be built gear up and hung in the spare room)

I'd be tempted by the Lancaster though methinks, By my reckoning a 1/32 lanc would be 38.25 inches wingspan, 26 inches long and just over 7.5 inches high.

I am waiting patiently for someone to bring out an injection moulded 1/35 scale Scammel tank transporter.

Also any British airfield ground vehicles in 1/48 scale would be nice.

Italeri can be nice and do a 1/35 rescue launch in there 1/35 scale boat series.

And Some one please get it together and do Ark Royal (WWII) in 1/350!

WOW a 1/48 VC10 !! Now that would be something!! Personally i'm really surprised that in 1/32 no-one has done the Lavochkin LA 5 or 7 , or any of the Yaks (although Montex did a Yak 3 but its hard to get and about £60!) An accurate MiG 17 or 15 would be nice too, come on trumpeter or revell ! tony

Al. Revell did a 1/32 Mossy, they pop up on fleabay once in a while- there are even resin sets for it..... I nearly bought one, missed it by a lousy quid!!!

Another thought I had was it would be very apt if there was a maker that could fill a big gap in the market. Period correct civilian cars and the like in say 1/48 and 1/32 scale could be a fair number of combo diorama ideas there, a Spitfire with an MG or a 109 with a Mercedes....for example.

Would it be asking to much to suggest some 1/48 scale coastal craft; rescue boats, Torpedo boats, etc.

Thats easy enough, go and buy one Tom. And Andy for that matter, I think the question is What would you like to see produced by a manufacturer.
