A cheaper way to send sound waves into the ground is to bury an open-topped bottle so that the top is above ground level. Wind blowing over the bottle will make a sound, which apparently moles don't like. Might work...

Get on the tools and make a wind mill powered blacksmith or lumberjack
Wind turns the mill which turns a crank that lifts a little hammer that then hits the top of the pole banged into the ground.

Or, alternatively, plant high-resolution microphones in the soil and play Def Leppard and Bucks Fizz on a 24-hour continuous loop ... (Tesco's Christmas song loop is also successful I've heard ...)!

You have to bear in mind "Any foxes, moles and mink that you catch are protected under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. You can be jailed and get an unlimited fine for causing unnecessary suffering to an animal."
Says me in a mid floor flat - no gardening problems for me! :smiling4:

Doesn’t that come under the realms of cruel and unusual punishment?

Bucks Fizz certainly do, but at least they're not Ed Sheeran! That would count as torture under the terms of the Geneva Convention!:confounded:

He/She might have just finished building his tunnel system Chris. As to gardens, that’s her indoors’ domain, but I keep hear moaning that it’s too cold and wet for anything to grow properly. It made her onions bolt, frogs ate some of the strawberries, and blackbirds have had the goosegogs……..
