        very true -

The main thing I have always noticed is the friendliness

and also no-one seems to unfairly criticise any modelling work

If you ever read some of the comments posted , eg on Youtube

it is absolutely gladiatorial and bitter

there is no petty name calling , slagging or disrespecting

        one's own country -

you should be well aware what you have - a peaceful forum

        best regards :rockstar:

The great thing about this forum is it's diversity. It's not the typical Scale Model Forum for 1/35 Scale Tamiya AFV's circa 1939-1942.

We dont have a forum moderator who bans people for being off topic and we always have friendly responses from the members. There's a good banter on the site and also a huge amount of information. It's not just that we have a lot of members it's also that we have a core of members who've been here from the start and have made a huge contribution to the forums. It's a great resource and is of real benefit to new modellers who can ask for any help as they need it.

The volume of helpful advice on any subject is great, I'm sad to say I spend more time reading posts than I do on building!

I can only echo the sentiments already expressed, a grand old fashioned 'shed' atmosphere in here!, invariably something catches the eye and you just have to go and take a closer look, even if it has nothing to do with your normal stuff.

But i'm too lazy these days, find myself mending motor bikes and not building boats.

I echo all the sentiments expressed in the thred, the chat is helpful, banter good natured and you all make such stunning models, which I am trying to emulate albeit rather slowly, thanks john for starting it all off.

I wish I was selling something I would have some great testimonials

Thanks for all the kind comments, as I've always said, it's not me that makes the site but the people that join.

John, is this site still active?
Next question, photos, are they all gone? Is there a place they are stored that I might be able to retrieve some of mine from?

Having read page one I thought I was in a time Warp, even then it had the same feel to it .
