HI Dave yes i think that NIMITZ scrtchbuild was mine an its on here in the ships section but im tryin to go as big as poss but in a plastic kit to save all the building of the massive hull as bob asked me to jion him back in ships after ive finished my hornet build an ive seen on ebay that trumppeter do build 1/200 scale aiecraft carriers but not in the NIMITZ class so im just hopein to see if any manufacturer are goin to produce one in this scale as there is so much i could do on a plastic model in that scale but Dave thanks for your reply my freind

Sorry Chris, I didn’t read the spec.
I did find a Revell Nimitz when I did a 1:200 search but then found it was actually 1:1200

I love kits have a 1:200 CV6 USS Hornet, Trumpeter have a CV8 USS Enterprise. Not your state of the art floating airport but they look like a propper war ship.

HI Ian yes you are right there yes i see them carriers on ebay but as you say not my type of state of the art floaty as i love nimitz class carriers to me every thing about a nimitz class carrier looks right to me them other carriers just look to thin but yes they did the job but it would probelerly be a job to land a big tomcat on one of those smaller carrier as yes i know they were only meant for prop planes landin at slower speeds but not my cup of tea an yes i know big greg is building yorktown an a very nice build it is too
but not one i would want to build

HI Ian sorry im gettin my wires crossed here but in the sentance above it looked to me LIKE that you said that YOU love kits an have the hornet an enterprise BUT the penny dint drop that you was talking about the name of the kits manufacture DUH I LOVE KITS as while ive been building these big scale R/C ships im out of the swim of all these kit manufactores as never heard of I LOVE KITS BEFORE

yes SORRY about that but MANY THANKS FOR THAT LINK TO THEM KITS as i have looked through them an was very temped but really these ships dont ring my bell if you know what i mean as i was hopein some kit manufactor has done a nimitz kit in 1/200 scale for me to buy an yes it would be a big kit an costly but that i dont mind as this will be my last kit i will do an will keep me busy for yrs like BIG GREGS USS YORKTOWN

But never mind i'll wait as im sure some kit manufactor will bring one out in the next few yrs an this horrnet build will keep me busy for a good while yet
