Nothing to do with Model Building BUT

Last Wednesday night I attended a scouti meeting for the first time since my heart attack & gall bladder op, on arrival I was swamped by all the scouts wanting to know wot it was like, so after the opening of the meeting I sat them all down now I don't know whether U've seen the KFC ad on TV but they have a library scene where a guy smacks another bloke with his hands on both sides of the face, well I told the kids that's wot it is like U know U've never seen kids sit there and look so dump I said come on guys U're suppose to be up-to-date with all the in-things BUT nope still got blank looks so I started all over again and said well U'll never understand until it happens to U, do U guys know wot happened next they all said Oh now we understand U have to die and come back to life to experience a heart attack :smile11:. Man am I so out of touch or wot I never even got close to dying, the heart attack was mild happened in hospital with all the Docs around me and all they did was pop a pill in my mouth. The rest of the night was qiet and good and the kids learnt more on that night than any other troop night when I was in great health. Oh yes the pill was called a NGT nitro-glisorein tablet or heart pill. :dancing1:

Thanks guys, yes I'm getting better day by day but still can't do heavy stuff like mow the lawns but at least I can build models and do light work. The doc says I'll never be 100% again because my heart beats arracticly that is every now and then it skips a beat or beats at twice the rate it should but it won't affect the things I like the best again model building and oh yea of course camping and jetty fishing. Just want to show U all one of my huge diarama projects that I will be starting on in Sept. this crane stands some 3 feet 6 inches tall has a boom of 3 feet long and can light a couple of pounds in weight which is not bad for a remote control toy, I picked the thing up from Larry G. in the U.S. and it cost me around $60aust that's when our dollar was almost on par with the U.S. dollar, I suppos it was a bit rich but when U considar that postage was also included in the price I don't think it's too bad besides I haven't seen one here in Oz at all. Hope U all like it.

              Hi Russel

Let the grass grow or get some sheep haha iv'e 2 border collies you can borrow, although from memory [ visited Aus. 1999,2000]you use "Kelpies"

I had an operation on Tues. [Trigger finger - nothing to do with shooting a gun!] so no modeling until I get the stiches out on Fri.

              best of luck
