      Howdy Chris,

Great looking models! I recently went to the Little Rock Air force base open house "Airpower Arkansas" and there was the camo-ed marine corps pavehawk and the all green blackhawk (not a pavehawk) there.

I took some photos on one of those disposable cameras but as of yet had them developed, when i do, i will post pics of them here in your thread so that people can see what a remarkable job you did in capturing these birds in 1:72 scale.

Now if i remember right, the camo-ed marine corps heli had "dummy" ordinance on it for display purposes and the all green version had no ordinance .... it was a medi-vac chopper.

Again, you did a great job on these and i look forward to your next models

      Have a good day,

      Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW)

I am glad you like them as i really enjoyed building them. The helo's all have slightly varying weapons loads. The black one has one rocket launcher 4 hellfires 4 stingers 2 miniguns and a 30mm chaingun. The lizard one has pintle m60's 2 mistrals, 4 hellfires, one rocket pod and a cannon from a ACH-47.

The Navy one has the same armament exept it has miniguns instead of m60's.

I took a leaf out of your book with the sensor pods, they are cut down free fall bombs, and the FLIR pods are the nose sections from Torpedos.

I have 2 HH-60 H seahawks waiting to be "speciallised".

            Howdy Chris,

Those are some really nice looking models, especially the V-22 Osprey ( I like the armament you put on it).

I see you have a few of the same tastes in aircraft that I have also. I noticed you have built an MU-2J (second twin engined aircraft from left in 2nd pic) as well as the Dornier twin engine aircraft (one i have but yet to build). I cant see the insignia on either of the aircraft, however i know the dornier is often used as a maritime patrol plane and the Mu-2J is used by the US as a trainer for combat management ( see my post on the Mu-2J).

One other thing i noticed is the colors you use my favorite colors lol, I use alot of the green and gray myself either alone or in combination for camo-ing my aircraft.

I was pleased and yet also suprised that you "took a page from my book" so to speak and used extra "gravity bombs" to make your sensors. Was this something you have always done or was it because of what you had seen in one of my post? I know alot of people, myself included save our extra or left over parts when we build a model because you never know when you may get the creative urge to improvise a sensor...rocket...antenna...radome etc.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that they all look great and i look forward to seeing even more of your work.

            have a good day,

            Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW)

Hello again Greg, the aircraft(Dornier and the Mu dont have any insignia as yet, neither does the turbo mentor, Tucano, and my F-84 conversion. I am still looking for some south/central American markings for them. The aircraft all, along with quite a few others will belong to an anti drug cartel/insergent airforce. I have another Tucano, 2 Pucaras,2 mirage 2000's a super Etendard, a C-160 Gabriel which is going to get the gunship treatment a fouga magistar, skyvan and 2 cessna dragonflies. oh and 2 gazzelles 2 uh-1 d's and a Dauphin.I have yet to decide on what vehicles to use for them.

The cartel however have a lot of ex soviet aircraft and armour of various ages and types. They range from mig 21, 23,27 and 29's. Sukhoi su 15,22,17,27,30,and 35. Tupolev TU-16 Badger, Tu-22 Blinder, Aero L-39's Ilushin Il-28's. Most of which have had an up grade of somesorts to keep them usable. Al the vehicles are of similar vintage to the aircraft and some belong in Museums along with the aircraft. I wil dig out my other stuff and photo it for you and put it on here. Oh and yep I ook a leaf from your book on the use of surplus dumb bombs. I dont throw any spare bits away or any old and damaged model bits, they all can be used for something, I even keep the longer lengths of sprue as they can be used as pipes, gun barrels and to stir your paint!!

              Chris.
