Is there such a tiny scale?

I am not an experienced model-maker and I can't really get my head around the scaling of models, but I was wondering if there is any such thing as a model with a scale so small that it could literally be scaled to an fly or an insect. Household objects and furniture similar to the size of a penny coin.

Is there any such thing?
