    which matt cote to get?

    hello fellow members.

Can anyone recomend a good matt finish to use with my airbrush( or are the aerosol ones any good at all)? I use acryllic paints if thats makes any difference. Will there be a need to thin if using a airbrush for application? Im in the uk so any modderllers in blighty have a preference i would like like you advice!

    Thanks

You can use an acrylic matt coat. It's not worth having a whole different airbrush cleaning regime just for one coat! I've used one from Vallejo (model air) which sprays straight out the bottle and works fine. I've had a go with one or two others and they all worked well. The Xtracrylix one I do remember thinning. I'd say see what is easily available where you are and give it a go!

    Good luck

      Hi

I'e just finished off my Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk. 1 with a coat of Humbrol matt varnish straight from the spray can, and I think it has come out great, with just one coat. The advantage is that the Humbrol spray cans are freely available in the UK, and cheap compared to imported stuff.

      Good luck with it
