    70 years ago today. WOW!

I'm sure there are a few among us here that remember this day quite vividly, this day that marks the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany. All I can say to you is thank you in fighting for my family's freedom! Sincerely, Jeff

    Hi Jeff

Just been on T.V. + a story about a british banker who organised a train to get 250 jewish children to England from Prague. The guy was Nicholas Winton and the children who escaped [now in their 80's are are a train journey following their original escape route, they are due to arrive on Friday and they will meet up with Nicholas, now 100 years old.

I must admit I will be interested to see what anniversary events happen,

I remember the VE Day event back in 1995 and we had some superb models at the boat pond on that one, it was a very successful event although not just limited to boats given the nature of the anniversary.

Any model event in this couple of weeks surely has to be a commemoration of this Historic event, models from the early war through to the end of the war would be welcome just to remind us of what was and what our soldiers fought for in the name of freedom.

I hope there are plenty of events going on this next couple of weekends and plenty of models on show !!

People always forget but when they see the models on show it somehow brings something home to them.

And the lone single seater spitfire flying out from Caernarfon airport last weekend did not go un-noticed - I recognised that Merlin V12 from when I heard it. The Pilot was doing half barrell rolls as he flew past too - recognise that wing profile anywhere !!

      Always a pleasure to see.

      Regards.........Mark.
