While we are on the subject of shops, can anyone tell me of any decent shops in Cornwall. Failing this, is there a shop anywhere that does a catalogue and also postage? Thanks.

I don't know about Cornwall but I'd recommend Hannants Hannants - Plastic model kits and accessories as they are a real shop with a website rather just a web-based place. I've found them to be quite reasonable price-wise & helpful plus they stock a good range.

My late father did this with me and taught me a few tricks of the modelling game.

Mind you, this was back when Ena Sharples was the pin-up girl in 'Coro' on t.v, so I guess the shed was the best place to be!!

Perhaps the youngsters of today think it sissy to make models, join the scouts, go camping...but get them to have a go and they soon change their tune.....enough said!

Ena Sharples as a pin up!!!!!! Either you got some VERY funny tastes or my memory has gone. She looked about 90 years older than God when the series started!

        :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Are you thinkin' about Elsie Tanner?!

Yo Gern, It was just my warped sense of humour!!!

I just remember watching it in b/w on a screen about 12" across.

Then my parents bought the first COLOUR tele in our street....Boy, did they have some new friends.

Elsie Tanner? Far too common!! LOL
