    E Bay Purchases

    Hello`people

Just thought out of interest (could be a running thing)

Obviously no -one is going to post if they are going for something but

Just lostPainting and finishing military figures at £1.25

    Won nichimo 1/48 P51D Mustang at £=£4.75

Postage on mustang was £4.50 thought that was a bit high, I am going to have a chat with my neighbour who is postie and sells on ebay all the time, to find out what is the cost of various parcels, he once told me he DOES put extra on P&P to "Bump" the price up a bit, but it didnt really sink in at the time

For a 1/48 kit, that does seem a high price-I recently paid £3.50 for a 1/35 AFV which I would think was a larger box. Check the Royal Mail website for guides on prices & don't be afraid to raise it with the seller before paying. You never know till you ask! Patrick

lol you should have asked about Esci stuff- I haven't made many models but I know they're a brand to be avoided! Still, it gives you the chance to show how to produce a nice kit from a pile of poo! I'm thinking camo netting to hide any problems hehe ;-) I would stick to Tamiya or Italeri for now & avoid Dragon like the plague! They're good kits mostly but often complex with less-than-helpful instructions.

If you ever want to know an opinion, let me or one of the other chaps know what you're after-I know I wouldn't try to bid against you & I'm sure the other guys would be the same.

          Camo Net LOL

I have worked out that the little bags you get to put washing tablets in, if you cut them right and then dip them in watered down paint then they make a pretty good bit of net a little of scale perhaps but fre !

              Tamiya it is !

My wife takes the piss out of me because I normally take so long to decide to buy ANYTHING I normally look then look again then research it ,check any forums and reviews, but this time I jumped straight in !! and **** it up !

I am going to try to sell a few bits lying around so I can buy something decent ! Moneys a little tight at the mo, due to me employing my son to do the work,

so if I can sell bits and then use that money I wont get shouted at LOL !!

I am really after the LRDG chevy there is one on the evil bay from Asia and it has 4 figures with it, I have found the site the figures come from and they are $50 so I think the whole lot might go up to high at around $90 + P & P but we will see thats a bit high

have been told another lot of the chevys are due into UK soon so may wait for that.

Anyone made the tam matilda tank ?

hi hugh , dont give up on the esci tank till youve seen it, ive just done their sdkfz halftrack and i thought it was great. really fine detail good fit etc . I dont know how much water my opinion will hold though as im not usually an armour guy but i think i know a good kit from a dog (maybe its different for a tank though? i dunno)

That link isn't working for me Wayne, who's the seller? I've looked at most of the ebay offers so I probably know about them all! Patrick

Weirdly enough, I've just bought that same bit of kit! Been mucking about with it all evening & I can say it's all good-the compressor is nice & quiet and the AB's work great. Chris (gladiator111) has the same one & he's well happy with it. Patrick

I bought one last night .I read someone on here said it was a good bit of kit. For £70 it is worth a try.
