    Get the figure you want...

I can't find the right figures! I need some 1:35 GI's to run away from a huey in a hot LZ. Seems like all the GI's are resting, or just standing around. No wonder it was a "draw" (no offence intended to any vet's out there)! Dubster you have mentioned to me in the past about modifying some late WW2 guys, I have found a set from Korean war (DRAGON 1/35 US ARMY GI's KOREAN WAR 1950 6808 on eBay (end time 14-Feb-10 12:45:02 GMT)) which are close as they are kind of ducking and running. My question is this:

Are these type of figures from Dragon supplied in one piece, or do you get to glue on different arms/weapons/heads etc?

I saw some really nice figures from Czech Masters of a UH-60 crew (black hawk?) too modern but gorgeous models and perfect poses, but they are resin so I guess they will be cast in one piece?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated. tonyb.

Most plastic figure sets come in separate parts which is usually- legs (one piece), torso, arms x 2, sometime separate heads. The weapons, kit, helmets etc is almost always seperate, I can't think of one that I've seen where that isn't the case. You could add a few bits to that particular set-it's stuff like weapons (M-16s) and helmet detail (fags, playing cards!) that tend to help identify the soldiers as being in Vietnam. For inspiration, look at the Verlinden stuff coz he does a good line in modern figures. btw I've bought stuff off that ebay seller & he's a good guy.

Those Czech Masters figures are lovely but too recent to be in Vietnam-they look quite modern as the other kit on Netmerchants page shows one holding a Dragon/Javelin anti-tank missile system and that's mid-80's onwards.

If you can find any suitable Gen2 kits from Dragon, they are the most flexible as they come with separate everything-even hands & feet!
