    Question for all

Hi all, just thought i'd ask. When my Bf109 is finished, would it ok to show the tail with the Hakenkreuz(the swastika) or will it need to be blocked out? I just don't want to get the forum in trouble.

    Thanks, John

Its part of history I wouldn't block anything like that.

No problem thanks for asking, but we can't forget what has gone on in the past.

Quite right to. The Swastika, hated or otherwise is not illegal in it's historical context. I know the use of it has been banned in some countries and this is why a lot of kit manufacturers stopped including them in artwork and decals. However, this is a trend that appears not to have continued.

As above, you can't show a model or picture of a model c/w swastika in Germany as it is against their law. I very recently discussed this with some german colleagues and they all felt that this was as it should be. We have to respect that and it's fine by me. Here the choice is yours,if you want to display a model c/w swastika you can. I for one think nothing less of a model without the symbol. In a very small way that freedom to choose is what we were fighting for at that time.

            Cheers

            Steve
