    Peterborough ASDA has finally stocked the new one so a bottle has been purchased. Not sure why now as the old bottle will probably outlast me lol

      Hi guys, I might sound a bit numb by asking what does it actually do for the model, are you using it to seal/finish them?

      Thanks in advance, still green:mrgreen::mrgreen:

        I use klear as a gloss base for laying on decals and then sealing them when set, i am led to believe that because airplanes have a slight metalic sheen to them klear provides that finsh.

          Thanks Scott, I was having problems with that on my tanks etc. Some chaps told me to spray gloss varnish over the tank prior to decals application then final coat of matt.

          Cheers Ade (learning)

              Quite right Scott, we taught each other didn't we? lol

              One conclusion I have drawn from Klear, is that in my opinion it is pointless using it on armour, except where the decals are to go.

              Whereas with aircraft it goes all over, as not only are there obviously more decals but it leaves a nice smooth, shiny surface, something which is not required with armour.

              Listen to me, I've only made one aircraft and used Klear twice and I think I know what I'm talking about!!!!!!......pathetic.
