First of all welcome to the forum.

I don't have the definitive answer to your problem but in the past I have found that you can remove scratches from clear plastic by polishing with ordinary toothpaste.

welcome to the forum Daniel , can you tell us what model your doing - make and scale , also what part is messed up , with this info you might get someone who has a spare or has an idea how you can overcome this problem

A spare would be the ideal but it may be down to a light sanding with very fine sanding/polishing sticks to bring it back. If no one has a spare you could always try the kit manufacturer, most hold spares and some are really good at replacing a part with little or no questions asked.

I'm afraid I don't think you'll be able to save that one. You can try rubbing it down with finer and finer medium and then polishing but the fogging may still be there.
