    A mountain of Bren Carriers!

Have a look at this picture www.gettyimages.com/detail/3135140/Hulton-Archive. What stories some of those carriers could tell?

I also wonder about the stories. Some of those look unused and I wonder how many have come from arms depots and military stockpiles?

Mind you, that'd make for one hell of a diorama! Anybody won the lottery recently?

So sad when you think how few of these are still running. Also sad that a pile of lorries and, mainly, Bren Carriers are referred to as 'Tanks'

I agree, it's sad from an enthusiast's point of view but it could be looked at this way, these instruments of war are now helping to rebuild a much sort after peace.

It is funny that they're referred to as tanks - I suppose that's why Wittman notched up a tally of over 20 tanks at Villers!

Montyman - that would be a diorama and a half!

Mmm, interesting idea as a diorama. Let us take just what we can see in the picture. 50 (at a guess) carriers, Tamiya 1:35 at about £12 each = £600, another £75 for a few lorries and a small section of railway track. Come on then, who is up for it? I would but I am a tad busy at the moment lol
