a lovely eclectic mix martin,i like it! Like yourself ive got a sizeable stash but a lot of the kits were picked up for bargain prices, i suppose thats why its so large-even if its something i wouldnt normally consider,if its a bargain, i cant resist it!!if i get time i might get a few pics taken and show mine tomorrow, cheers tony

Ooooh, don't suppose you want to sell that Cessna Skymaster kit by any chance BB, lets face it, you've got so many there you'll never get around to building it :smile1: Not currently mentioning how many's in my stash by the way :hmmm:

Having seen some of these collections though I could show my missis and say, see, i'm not that bad!:smile1:

Mmmm, I want the Honda CB750 to. Used to have a real one of those many, many moons ago.

Tell you how sad I am getting. I have just acquired a database prog for the Mac to create a database of my stuff. Not because there is a lot of it (well not by the standards above anyway) but simply so I actually know what I have got. I found a kit the other day that I didn't know I had (well, had forgotten it really).

Hi m1ks, i picked up the Cessna Skymaster for just £10.00 at a model show, i virtualy bit the blokes hand off, its a cracking kit and one im very much looking forward to making, i do believe Testors have re-issued it, im sure ive read that somewhere? Good plan though to show ya Mrs that having a stash is perfectly normal :-)

Graham, great idea to have a data base on the comp, it is very easy to forget just what you have. That Honda 750 1/6th scale was a bargin from the nationals at Telford last year, £49.99. I do like a bargin :-)

Graham - I'm also thinking of doing an inventory of what kits I have too! I think this could come in useful when it comes to planning dioramas.

I really do want to start reducing that amount of kits I have! I do have plans (or had plans) for everyone of em (honest)!!!

I've got a really grand scheme for a massive dio featuring the BR 52 Loco + rolling stock, 2 panthers, 2 panzer IVs, a panzer III, Opel Blitz, 2cm Flak 38, 88mm Flak 37 and about 50 figures that would reduce the pile significantly! But this may take 10 years to complete and I've got to build an extension to house it!

Like I said, I had a plan when I bought everyone of these kits, the real problem is finding the time.

John - I will be making purchases from the shop when necessary - probably not kits for a little while though! However glue, materials, paint etc - I'm there.

                Cheers

                Paul

OK then you asked for it, here is a small cross section of my current stash, Theres about 50+ kits ,but it looks less cause im pretty good at stacking them in the bottom of my cabinets (im pretty nifty at tetris too!!) Just for good measure theres a couple of (shaky!) shots of the top halves of the cabinets too where i keep my completed models safe from dust (and dusters!!) Tony

Pics of my current model stash.

The Hawker Hurricane and Focke Wulfe 190 are currently in progress, (Hurricanes a bit of a test bed of ideas, posing panels and cutting, also a bit of a retro trip, this is one I made when I were a lad, yes it really is that old, no decals with it so am looking for a set of 1:72, the FW is a built from the box, plan was to build with my wee boy but he got bored after the gluing and priming when I explained it had to dry before we could do the rest of the paint and the 'stickers' he is only 5 so......

I'm currently thinking the RG250 Gamma next, (that's to be a pressie for a friend, First bike he had).

FW almost finished, will stick on a seperate thread when finalised.
