I would like to do Telford. All depends what is happening. Long way for you though Martin but straight 'up country' I suppose.
As for camping in Martins back garden, sounds a great idea lol. We could make a weekend of it and have modelling workshops and demonstrations. Hey ho.... maybe not lol
Mablethorpe in October, mmmmm..... Many years ago, when I still lived in South Yorkshire, I remember taking the dogs onto the North Beach on Boxing day. It was snowing like hell and me and the dogs were the only ones on there. As I came off over the sand dunes, a couple were just coming onto the path to the beach. I assured them that they could have my space if it got crowded and we shared a fun smile between kindred spirits. I then heated a pan of stew on a camping stove in the back of my old Reliant Robin and me and the dogs fed like kings on stew and fresh bread. Happy days.........Comment

Yeah it is a fair ole way Graham. When i last went it was with some of the lads from the model club i belong to, so we shared the drive so not to bad, trouble was i really could have done with spending both days there. By the time we got home home with the one day we were completly exhausted. It needs one day for shopping and the other for looking at the show stuff. I MIGHT see if i dont spend to much at Euromiltiare about staying in a travelodge overnight near to the show, we will see.
Stew is THE best meal, and on a freezing cold day on the coast there is NOTHING to beat it...great memories mate :-)Comment

Martin thanks mate, I might take you up on that sometime sounds idyllic, we used to pack the wing and chair and treck from Chatham in Kent down the 303 to the camp sites of Cornwall, Devon, and so on, it`s really gorgeous there ( I`m jealous ). Graham thats the best time for the seaside, at least you don`t have problems parking? Perhaps we could meet there before October, then if Allayne is in favour he could meet me as I live just south of Scunthorpe and we could meet at the Newark air museum, any thoughts? Keep the glue running.

Dammit all, you'rfe all too far south.
Thats the prob being up here, beautiful as it is we never get any decent shows or such, unless we're prepared to travel a couple hundred miles south to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
(Apart from my recent cracking day out in Aberdeen at the VMCC training day (Vintage Motorcycle club), where I got to ride some drool worthy old machines round the oval at Grampian museum of transport in Alford).
But anyway, as far as models, pah!!!!!!
Last time I went anywhere model related was when I was in Sheffield and flew RC planes and heli's and we had a club outing.
Funnily enough, when I was down south Mablethorpe used to be a regular run for me when I had nothing better to do, great one for blowing the cobwebs off the bike, M1, M18, M180, fish and chips on the sea frontComment

I doubt if the museum has changed much Graham, it does have a re-painted Buccaneer and a relatively new Draken, but yeh lets go with that, it`s probably closer for you and John and it`s close for me. Allayne at the moment I am out of work so anytime during the week would be fine. So lets get some days and times that we can make I`m easy ( so I have been told ). Must stop going on this site till later in the day as I am not getting anything done! Fun though. Cheers all Gareth.:cool2:Comment
