Hadn`t noticed that one yet, will give it a try might have to record it as it will annoy my daughter, and it is bound to clash with something important like Eastemmerstreet????? Have you seen the film? I remember way back in `69 working close to the River Medway/Thames estuary when a large group of BF109 and HE111 planes flew over to bomb London, for the film, I try looking for me waving but no luck yet? Thanks for that, cheers Gareth.

It's one of my all time favorite films. Love it. I wish they would do a re-make of it with modern CGI. Would still love the old version as well. "You can teach monkeys to fly better then that. Tacca tacca tacca tacca tacca"

Looks like a great season of stuff there, will defo be watching...thanks for the head's up Allyne. I did hear somewhere a while ago that they are doing a remake of both the Battle of Britain and the Dambusters....would be good to se how both would come out in a modern way...but as you also say the ole one's are very much classics, and worthy of being in ant good collection...cheers bud, Martin :-)

Defo remaking Dambusters. I've been following the story for 2 years now.

It's a New Zealand director that has put two fingers up at Hollywood because they wanted to change things i.e. the dogs name and certain charactors ethnic backgrounds etc etc. Typical Hollywood really.

Keen modeller Peter Jackson. He has a company that makes superb WW1 model aircraft kits called "Wingnut Wings". Not my thing but those in the know say they are up with the best. I saw a photo somewhere on t'internet of one of his Lancaster replicas parked at an airfield in New Zealand. Did I save it? Did I hell! I can say it looked very realistic to my relatively untrained eye.

              Cheers

The wingnuts models are fabulous, haven`t got one yet but it is on the shopping list. Peter Jackson at last count was struggling over finances but then he did on Lord of the Rings, and look at how that turned out! As to his replica Lancs, they look good, but not as good as the two real ones near me, at Conningsby and East Kirkby. But I can`t wait for the film. Square eyes rule.

Have to agree with you guys , the reviews ive seen for the wingnut wings kits say theyre excellent, and the prices arent too bad either, considering the quality you get. I must admit that even though its not my thing ,ive been really tempted to get one , they just look so good, if only you didnt have the rigging to do !!! cheers tony
