Anyone know of any model events to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of both the above events this year....???
I know V.E.Day is 8th May and V.J. Day is 15th August.
If so Please post them up on here, I went to a V.E. day sailing back in 1995 with my 1/72 scale HMS Active. We had a superb attendance with loads of boats and made the local press due to the crowds that attended.
It would be nice to know what events are on this year so hopefully we can all get to see some of these fantastic models that we all talk about on here.
I will be checking tomorrow to see if my local Boat Club has a 60th Anniversary meet this year (it was theirs I went to 10 years ago) but this time I will not be taking a boat....My Panzer V AUSF G will be patrolling the lakeside though as a reminder of what we would have seen more of in this country had we not won the war. It wasn't ready for the last meet but will be for this one !!
Regardless of what models you do, there will be something from this era that will apply...!!
If you know of any events, please post them up.
Regards..........Mark.
