Few days ago at a hardware store (AKI) i found this tapes from TESA.

The yellow tape is like Tamiya in colour and adherence, the blue have less adherence then the yellow ans TESA have other in red that have less adherence then the blue and i don't bought that.

The price: 3,00€ per unit 25 meters long and 25mm width.

We have a similar product in the UK called 'Frog Tape'.Its almost identical to Tamiya tape but you get a lot more for your money.

It was just there on the top shelf looking at me. At €43.50 it compares well on price. It was a toss up between this and an Italeri Tracker.

Is it normal to buy more than 1 kit, eventhough i know that 1 kit s gonna take 1-2 months to complete?? Or it's just compulsive buying??? Everytime i see a kit that i like i really wanna buy them. Can't let the wife know stashing kits tho. How bout u guys???

Its very much a case of buy it while you can. Once they go out of production, the price just goes up as the demand increases....

I can think of a few kits that with hind sight I would of bought a few of when they first came out...and paid the same as I would for one today.

There are also those that have no spine and fold at the first sighting of a new kit.

Its all part of the game/fun.

I picked up 2 new ones today (and pretty sure the guy at the till over-charged me), but since my camera is not feeling well I have no pics.

For the record though, they are the "Revell" Type IIB U-boat (144 scale) and a Ju-87 by Zvezda, also in 144 scale.

I thought the minicraft Ju-88 was crap but wow, this one is even worse! And it's made out of a shiny plastic, which even after cleaned with warm soapy water, still feels slick. I just know I am going to have paint adherence issues with it, but at 5$ , I couldn't really pass it up... I won't quit on it, yet.

If you were overcharged at $5, it must be a really bad kit... Which store in Calgary did you buy them from?

                                Chinook hobby west.

The guy tried to charge me 9.99 for a can of primer that was clearly labeled 7.99. He may have still found a way to upcharge me by 'making a mistake' when he 'voided' the transaction.

Normally they're pretty good and I have no problems, only when that one older guy is manning the till... (may be close to retirement )
