Plus, that tank will look great in dessie, nice sand base, sandbag bunker, youll do it proud bud!
Thanks Dave, I'll go with what you said.

My initial thought on a dio was to have a slightly elevated road section with ditches either side, hedgerow down one side, tree etc and with a machine gun crew either side of the P4 and the Herman that's running would be behind the tank going from one crew to the other (like a powder monkey! )..........then in the distance there was going to be some dirty waffen have a bit of relief near a post!

However the idea of a desert scene is growing on me........thinking maybe of having the panzer dug in so that the barrel is just above ground level and the machine gunners dug in to foxholes. ........not sure yet!

Yep, its going to be huge! I had the choice of this or the dragon kit, i chose this as it gives options, and had PE, the dragon kit has only one base.

I hope that's a newer tool version! About 3 months ago I was offered one for £30... but then I did some research & found this build thread which put me off! So if it's the same kit in a different box, have some filler at the ready Dave!

You do have to admire their ingenuity, but I always wonder how many Mk IV or Panther tanks you could get from one of those!

I like it Dave, no matter whether it's a rebox or not, it's a corker. Takes a lots of round shaped dangly things to order one of these, I bet you're popular with the postie!

What's the part count Dave............I could build five and a half cars with the amount of wheels it's got!

so heres my haul from Airfix Black Friday sale

                        cost me 31 quid.......saved 54 quid......ordered monday 19:30 arrived thursday 12:30......which i think is pretty good

never managed to do a biplane properly yet but for a only fiver its got to worth another go

i can remember doing this back in the mid 70s when i was a teenager...always wanted to have another go now even tho its a funny scale

truely ancient kit.....came out first in 1962......one of those that when i was a kid it was always in the catalogue but since back as a kid i was only interested in military stuff i never bothered with it

it appeals now cos its something a little different

another from way back then, i can remember building it in the French acrobatic team blue scheme

and i know i keep saying 1/48 is a weird scale for vehicles but i had to buy something about 4 quid to take it over the 30 quid to get free postage, and this was £4.99 lol
