Well my birthady is here and as previously mentioned, I've been allowed open the boxes, I say this in plural as two have arrived!
The first as above..................
This was made in 1976 and is in perfect condition. I will tomorrow scan the decals to my PC, and give them 2 coats of clear gloss,if the kit decals collapse on enter to warm water I have another set to print onto clear decal paper. The plastics will get the warm soapy and clear water rinse as usual.
The second kit
is one that I've looked for over 2-3 years, recently seen on ebay.com for $174 down from $199. I found this one on kitsforcash.com a UK specialist in pre-owned kits for just £30. Opened it was in perfect order with 1965 moulded on the underside of the roof.
I've already scanned and given 2 coats of gloss clear to the decals. Tomorrow I shall wash as above.
A few interesting months ahead!Comment

Thanks Monica, yes it was a good day. My wife took me to a restaurant called the 'Hay Loft' it said because it is in the roof space of an old farm barn about 3 miles from us. Most of what is served is from the farm (or farm shop/butchery), meat, veg, most everything. Younger son came over after work with a Polo Ralph Lauren shirt prezy and a card from him, his partner and her son. Brilliant day in all!Comment

Snatch n grab raid today from Stoke-On-Trent model show. Although it was small in comparison to recent ones I've been to,I still enjoyed it and will attend again next year. And as you can see I found a few little bargains along the way.
