When ordering paint for my Eduard Draken I saw my local guy had a sale on so I bought this.

It was only about £20 which I thought was great value for money!
I also bought more 1/72 figures for my Schwerer Gustav diorama. I bought an old Italeri kit with German Paratroopers. I know they are wrong for the diorama but with creative painting it'll work for some of the figures.

Bought this Ammo by Mig released alclad 2 metallic enamel paint as well hoping it'd do the trick on my Draken.

Please let me know if this is a bad idea. I seem to remember hearing this was the top notch metallic paint but I will test it first regardless.
I also bought the alclad primer and thinner just to be on the safe side.
I could've bought a whole lot of kits right now because the sale was between 25-60% but my wallet is busted after Christmas - and my stash is very healthy - so I decided enough was enough.
Didnt get no kits for christmas other half said i have to many and also i can buy any kit i want next year as long as i get the stash down but i did get something mini rc helicopters from bnm and ive been looking around and theres 3 more diffrent ones a chinhook apache and a cobra on ebay which other half says i can have
That looks like a very nice kit you have yourself there John. Eill be interested to see what you think of it as your start your build.
Yes, it does look like a nice kit! Sadly, it's horrible, truly horrible. Surface detail is excellent, instructions are pretty good, but that's where good stops. The styrene is brittle and stressed all over the place, also covered in release agent, that is near impossible to clean off, every cut from the sprue results in a grainy, stressed surface, most of which will require filling, but the worst part is the inaccuracy of the fit - pretty much everywhere!! For instance, the fuselage is in about 10 pieces, many of which have rebated edges to fit to their counterpart, but, these rebates are soft, i.e. ech one needs scraping out in order for the panels to fit together - whilst waiting for varnish to set on my Zero, I made a start to the forward fuselage, it appears that all the rumours about Kitty Hawk are true - Phil Flory was (diplomatically) scathing about it, and this article pretty much sums it up. I was so chuffed that there was a new-tool Voodoo on the market, but this one is going to seriously try my patience. Grrrr!
Got home today and had this big box waiting for me and in side was something I had always promised myself.
I've been struggling with poor light in the dining room when the garage is too cold to work in, hopefully this will be a help. Thanks mum.

I opened the box when I got home and looked at the decal sheet- gulp! There around 300 decals for this bird with many of them duplicated for the missiles etc. and over 100 build steps.
