Well I was in town yesterday as SWMBO had to go in to sit an exam. This left me with four hours to kill. Unfortunately for me there was a model shop not five minuets walk from where she had to be.....:-)

What was the first things that caught my eye as I scanned the shelves?

came in at about £18 for the Jag and @£8 for the Hunter. Considerably cheaper than on e-bay...and no post!!! Yea.

The Hunter will be giving up its undercarriage for the Tiger squadron one which the cats bounced of the floor, shattering the UC into a million bits. (still haven't found the wheels!)

The rest of the kit? Maybe a wheels up and on a stick!

The Jag? If you recall the Spotty Jag I did, the decals included those for the last T2, so I have just ordred the conversion set from NeOmega and will give that a bash later.

Well worth tramping about in the rain for four hours? Frozen and wet, arthritic knees, not a good combo. Had to take a sick day today as I couldn't even get down the stairs this morning!!!!

    Erm Duh!

Thats a nice result Al , Recieved these today for the Spitfire VB , the xtradecal`s look very nice ( cheers lads you know who you are ) options for 11 different VB`s and a nice 4 page colour reference chart also giving a little history of each aircraft ie - where the aircraft was based , Pilots name and rank and number of kills etc which is a nice touch , also got the eduard masks and cockpit pe which need no introduction to you aircraft boys.

I'm in the middle of building this kit. Cant fault the detail at all. However, somehow, I managed to lose about 4 of the exhausts. I've no idea how I did it as I only cut off what I need. Great kit though.

Not the biggest or best kit I'll ever own but what a bargain! My daughter does volunteer work for the PDSA and proudly came home with this the other day. The kit itself (contacts inside in its sealed bag), two humbrol paints (Matt 15 and 55), a double ended brush and a Revell Contacta Mini Professional glue all for the princely sum of 99p! I dont know who was more delighted. Three cheers for the PDSA!

My daughter has only come home with another kit today - a Revell 48th scale Sikorsky CH-53! I suspect it may be discontinued now but at least all the parts are there. A £3.99 bargain!

I got one at last and didn't pay the earth for it either (unlike the one that was sold 2 hours before this one)

The SWMBO let me get this today.

Never built a 1:32 anything before, so looking forward to starting.

Looking at the sprues there are extra parts, a tropical chin filter and what seem to be cannon with fairings.

Has anyone built this Spitfire as anything other than OOB.

                      Tony.

Thanks Allyne, but was wondering if anyone had used the extra parts, and what mark of Spitfire they would make.

                          Tony.
