For the wife ...?? Is that like when I bought my shed & said " happy birthday darling! " she wasn't impressed
Nope, they are actually for her. She has her own stash of models that I have to make. A voyager in doing now, a bug and star trek stuff. The DeAgo falcon is both of ours haha
I have no idea when I'll get round to them haha. The bug is a short run and it may be a wee while until there are more done, I can't deny her a few bits and Bobs considering my stash
Plenty of left over figures for other dios - just no ideas what yet! (I've thought of a possible use for the sprues though!)
As with the other figures from Wargames Factory, you get an enormous pile of plastic for your money.

Thirty figures in this set with enough bits to give each figure a sword, spear and shield or any combination. Not quite so well packed as the other sets I've bought as there are separate sprues which do rattle around in the box. The moulds are well detailed with no flash, just a mould seam which needs to be removed. Hard plastic as usual so this is no problem and you can use any poly cement to glue them together. I wish I could afford to send a set of these to all those manufacturers who still use polythene to make figures with a little note saying "Look and learn guys!". Mind you, I think the market will decide the future of polythene figures as the range of hard plastic figures expands. I suspect modellers will swap as polythene is such a PITA!
I also bought some decals for the shields;

These are made by a company called Veni Vidi Vici. It turns out that they also supply the figures and I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a full refund for the decals (without asking) as they could be sent in the box with the figures.
And all that for the princely sum of £11.50 inc. p&p! What a super company they are!
I wanted some ancient Greek pillars to go with the dio I'm planning. Look what I found:

Perfect! .... and look where they come from:

It's amazing what's out there for us modellers if we use a bit of imagination!
PS Mods: Are these mini-reviews I've done in the right place?
