Phantom GB anyone?

Maybe next year. I have a 1/48 Hasegawa RAF Phantom in the loft.


I've always fancied one of these Da Nang Phantoms, LMS here in Toulouse has one at €66 but the exchange rate is lousy and I don't have the space in my suitcase.

Got one at last! 

Built this last year and had terrible issues with the one side pod, look up my build thread for what I had to contend with  Course it could just have been a bad kit and everyone else's is fine


Here's my completed build, oh and if there is a Phantom SIG I have a few 1:32's to do

I did check your excellent build Adrian - in fact I think I've got it bookmarked somewhere! 


The fit issues that you encountered did worry me, but faint heart never won fair maiden... probably famous last words! ,

Picked up this bad boy at Fairford airshow on saturday ,after much debating - shilka £35 / abrams £40 , shilka, abrams, abrams, shilka - abrams it is lol;




So on the list it goes at number 4
1.... Academy Leo 2a4m (armorama build)
2.... Meng Tiger - Finish
3.... Meng Bradley (promised my son)
4 ... Its a NEW Entry Meng Abrams
5 ...  All the rest

Been wanting to get this kit ever since I started the hobby, and went to the hobby shop, saw it on the shelf and bought it at $140 AUD which is a pretty decent price, considering it was brand new and still in it's shrink wrap. Pretty happy with this one- NOw I have my sights set on the Ho 229 by ZM in 1/32
