Hi john
Interesting haul.
As as I remember it, ferric chloride is what etchers use to eat away brass sheet when making PE. It is quite aggressive so be careful and wear eye protection.
The brushes look like interdental micro-brushes for cleaning between your teeth. I nearly bought some once for airbrush cleaning.
Cheers
Tim
Wow, have to say that kit is fantastic Danny and an epic episode in the fall of Berlin. It's gonna be sweet when painted up!!!
Dude 2, The micro brushes work really well for little jobs and I have used them for a while. They are cheap too as a pack of 10 only costs € 2,50. I used one to dab each latch with thin CA when I added them to the cabinet in my project. With acrylic paints, they clean up well with a dab of dish soap and warm tap water. Should also clean up well with enamel thinners, but I have never tried it. You'll like them!!!
The Postie dropped these off at work today. The HB Tiger II was € 30,64 delivered to the door (cheap). It comes in a huge box full of parts (over 880). It even includes an alu barrel and a covered muzzle brake made of resin...

I really didn't need another Tiger II, but for my bid of € 24,74, I can't believe I won the auction.
Did you ever notice that no one makes a paint set for engines. They make them for weapons, tracks and wheels, wood, rust of all types, etc, but not for engines. I ordered this along with a few things for my project. At least now I can dirty up my engines for that used look after they're painted...

The other items are found in my V2 blog. Please don't ask why I got the burnt out Pz IV road wheels and return rollers. The were cheap and looked Pretty cool too!!!

Tim.
The ad said they were to do spot painting....mmmm, well had a go and alright, but no better than a No 000/0000.
No you mention ab cleaning might use them for that .:thumb2: As far as the chemical, I will indeed wear eye and hand protection. I've seem a video of it eat through thin ally in a matter of seconds. Going to make very weak mixture. Have no idea how the mix amounts are, shall have to look it up .

Dude 1
I've got the amig engine oil, great , flows well and is quite convincing.
How come you get such good deals , is there something we don't know. Perhaps German E bay is better! .:smiling2: In between a/b cleaning I shall use them as you suggest.:smiling2:
Just acquired one of these....

Being delivered to my parents in sunny Spain so I have something to build on my next visit....cheeky I know! But with wife and kids staying in Blighty I got plenty of time to moggel

:smiling5:Your probably right John....I’ll prepare some meals and freeze them....and they can always forage around the garden for small birds and insects:surprised::smiling5:
The Tiger II was on offer from a Spanish online model shop, reduced from €65 down to €41 and with some paints mixed in with the order postage was free.
I bought myself a second-hand Tamiya M561 Gama Goat.

New in the box, though, and I read it builds up very easily, though it’s also missing a bunch of details in typical Tamiya style. More fun for me, I suppose. For a given definition of “fun” anyway Luckily I have the Tankograd book on this and the M520 Goer for reference, and a recent Chieftain video on YouTube should also come in handy.
Some great additions gentlemen. I got a tube of Tamiya plastic polish :loudly-crying::loudly-crying::loudly-crying: came from the far east in less than 7 days though :smiling2:
I decided that I wanted a 0.2mm nozzle airbrush, but as I didn't want to spend a lot of money for something that will only see limited use, I has a look around, and bought this..................

Yes, from ScaleModelShop ( note the name on the side! ) SMS-091. Nice price, less than most models!
It has a substantial heft to it, good finish, the threads are tight, and smooth - it even comes with a quick release coupling!
I've had a little play with it - just using water, and the operation seems easy, but I will be able to give a full review once I've had some paint through it.
Had a stock up with some consumables as well ( no point in paying p&p on one item! ) and got some new stuff ( to me, anyway! ) AK putty, and Mig 'One Shot' primer, as well as some other paints - good service!
By the way, it DOES say SCALEMORELSHOP.CD.UK on the airbrush - oh dear! Don't think it will affect the operation, though! :smiling5:

Nothing as exciting as some recent acquisitions on here. The last week and this morning saw these arrive
CORRUGATED ROOFING SHEETS ANTHRACITE 1:32 BY JUWEELA

I've since made up a former, gluing 2 sheets to some wood.

and using tray tin foil

produced this .
.
Also arrived a selection of plastic strip.
.
Never used this make before, so will be interesting to see how it compares to Greenline. Made in the Netherlands and a lot cheaper than Greenline . Going to use for the roof structure .

Yes looks exciting, no not for fire purposes , but for changing to look of ally foil ., mind you It is powerful stuff, and HSE will be followed. :thumb2:
Next some Mircobrushes . now again Iv'e never tried these, but you never know. Says they ere for application of small amounts of paint
If any one has used them please say.
This was taken with a macro lens. Below is the real size .

Very nice indeed Dave i'm sure i recently saw Phil Flory do a reveiw of one very similar.
