    1:35 figures ?

Can anyone suggest a source for 1:35 British military figures?

Only one problem - they have to be of a seemingly 'forgotten' era - post ww2

    (and preferably 60's/70's).

    Alternatively, any suggestions for adaptations?

    Any ideas gratefully received.

I know I am going to get shot down again but was there much difference between the WWII and 1960/70 British uniform?

Hi Fenlander and thanks for your interest.

Uniform style changed quite dramatically once ww2-style khaki Battledress went out in the early 60's. When I joined in 1968 standard 'combats' were a uniform light olive- green, soon to be superceded by DPM camouflage - (this was the period of Aden, Falklands, Northern Ireland etc.)

There was also the 'jersey, wool, heavy' or 'woolly-pully' and denims for barrack dress. I cannot seem to find the 'bits and pieces' either - firearms and so on. Perhaps no-one makes these things?

It's these items of kit that are scuppering my modelling attempts at the moment.

      Ta again, JIM

This is a hard one , you can get a few modern British figures and quite a few ww2 British figures , if it was me I would go for the Verlinden British ww2 paras and change the heads to hornet beret heads , not sure the weapons would be correct for your time scale but the Historex model website might be worth a go , failing that the guys on the militarymodelling forum may be able to help

I'm in the same boat Jim, i've been trying to find some 1:35 scale 60's British tankies for a Centurion Mk5.2 but no luck as yet. You're ok if you want to build WW2 German or modern U.S, if you find any let us know and i'll do the same if i find any.

          Have fun, John
