    BOB film

Did anyone else catch it on the tele last night? I watched a good chunk of it for the first time in twenty years. I was thinking all the stars looked awfully young when it dawned on me that the film was made at a time closer to the battle than we now are to the film! I'd forgotten what a phwoar factor Susannah York had as well. I had to go for a cuppa as she strutted around that hotel room.

Those Buchon 109s just look wrong with the engine upside down though! It didn't spoil the fun.

    Cheers

Gosh darn, I didn't know that was on.

Was it on BBC by any chance, if so I can catch it on Iplayer? If not can anyone record it to DVD?

I know exactly what you mean about susannah york, I must be getting old, (that was evidenced yeaterday with a Nigella ad on TV, my wife commented something about her figure and I said I didn't notice i was too busy looking at the food, I need help)

I recorded it on the old V-Box and watched it later last night. To say it was made around 1969, it was quite well done. I have not seen it since the year it came out I think lol. Thoroughly enjoyable film that, I think, caught the tension and courage of the time without the usual Hollywood gung ho rubbish. As for Susannah York with those pouting lips and tousled boyish haircut and tight fitting uniform to be honest never noticed she was in it.........

My mistake Mike. The official VHS vid i had of it had BoB and 633 on it. I now have the dvd and it only has the BoB and other special features (making of the film, Battle for the BoB etc etc).
