    1st ever Tank , 1/35 tamiya Mitilda

My 1st ever tank ,Tamiya Matilda MKII , choose the battle axe 1941 version which was just desert yellow I`ve been building this on and off for over a year but got right into it this weekend , its one of tamiya`s earlier kits but still went together nice , I buttoned down all hatches as the figure that came with the kit was very poor , all in all I`m well chuffed how its turned out , another great learning curve and another species of models I am now addicted too,

Hope you approve gents , a small basic dio is planned

    Richy

Lovely weathering Rich, very nice. Really looks heavy and dusty. If that is what your first tank turns out like, I will sit in awe for the second.......

      Hi Richy

Very nice looking 'Queen of the battlefield'. Weathering looks great. Like Graham, I can't wait to see subsequent armour models if this is your first attempt.

      Quality!

Richy, this is one very very nice build, love it. Great use of weathering, certainly looks battle hardened, you should be over the moon with this one. Well done buddy, reckon tanks are going to be addictive :-)

              Very nice Richy.

Just an observation, but drilling out the m/c gun barrel always helps the look. It only needs to be deep enough to show it IS a hole and paint it matt black. If you've not got a pin drill and a set of drills (I'd highly recommend getting them, you'd probably get both for less than a tenner) you could use the end of a hot needle.

Apart from that - I wish I could make mine that good!
