    More useless questions:)

Sorry to keep asking useless questions but ive never use this kind of stuff before. Well i took peoples advice on here and bought some pro-modeller pigments, in fact all of them lol. Well anyway what do you mix with it to make it stick to the mud guards, turret hatches, wheels etc,,,, i want to ask some one on here rather than mess it up by not having a clue.

    Thanks, Lewis

I am sure some one will give a definitve reply soon but I think you can either mix them with a little water or also use them dry like powders.

If you want them to act like thick mud, mix them with a little PVA glue, water it down if too thick. Remember though that mixed with water or used dry, you can always get them off with water if you get it wrong. If you use any PVA to thicken it or spray varnish of any kind over it, it is on forever. You can wash the PVA mix off straight away but as soon as it starts to dry, it is there for good. Any glossiness from the PVA can be over sprayed or brushed with a matt varnish to dull it down.

The only way to learn these things is to just go for it and see what happens. You can practice on an old kit or just scraps of plastic until you get more experienced with it.

i was watching youtube and i saw a guy using rubbing alcohol as a base then putting the pigments on top and it came up really well. Tried the PVA glue first and just waiting to see what it looks like now as im just waiting for it to dry. Really want to get this sorted now as ive got my local model club meet to go to on mondaay and dont want to take my LAV-AT to look all freash...

        Thanks Lewis
