Im looking for diorama kits or builds like the MiniArt ones, spent the last few hours looking on the net but nothing so far. Is there a business/company that produces 1/48 buildings.
There is not much about, I really need some and as yet come up with just the odd bits in resin but nothing of note. Make sure you get as many accessories as you can, they will always come in, jerry cans (great Tamiya set in the shop at the mo) spare baggage from kits, road signs (again Tamiya do a good one) and any spares from figure sets. Hang on to them for dear life. I feel a bit of scratch building will be needed for buildings though.
Oooo, I didn't know that '0' gauge was 1:48!!! I know what you are saying re the British buildings Tony but has to be easier to convert than build from scratch, should be plenty of accessories as well.
I Googled 1:48 scale houses looking for accessories to my models and your question popped up in search!
As Sprayman mentioned O Guage is 1:48 (also known as quarterscale and quarter inch in the US) but I find 1:43 scale figures and vehicles work very well with 1:48, just don't make the obvious mistake of having a 1:43 scale person stood in a 1:48 doorway!
The main reason I have answered you is to offer the shameful exploit of my 'services'! I make 1:48 scale buildings, doll houses and furniture..... I love this scale..... and when time allows would like to venture into the worlds of military modelling, war gaming and model railways. I prefer scenes, dioramas and building interiors over static buildings any day so if you would like to know more please get in touch.
