What is the difference? If any!

Can someone give me the diffinitive answer to this question please?

Is there a difference between Model Railway OO and 1/72 scale?

I need to know for an impending project.

    Thanks,

    Ron

I have been asking the same question Ron. Just done a quick look on the internet thingy and I found that OO scale = 1/76th scale and HO scale =1/87th scale.

Yep 00 = 1/76. I used some 00 railway figures in my 1/72 desert dio (boy scouts masquerading as Luftwaffe aircrew) and they looked fine. They were just men of medium build!
