    Look what came today :-)

Got sick and tired trying to get this in the UK so went abroad to a recommended supplier....WOW WHAT BRILLIANT SERVICE....onlt took 8 days from ordering but best part was the price, i got 9 bottles and even with p&p the price was only just over £29....that works out to just over £3.22 per bottle...yes £3.22 that is a stunning price compared to what we pay over here and thats if you can get it !!!!

I will defo be using these again, brilliant web site with other goodies too, simple to use, they even convert the price from dollars to sterling so you know what it costs.

And in my opinion this glue is unbeatable...love using it :-)

Apparently they package in a way that all is ok with customs, something to do with labelling ?

That will last you ages I got 1 bottle months back and it's hardly moved.

When shipping over seas mark it as a gift and you shouldn't pay any extra taxes

That I knew, however it is not every non-EU shop that either can, will or know what to put. So I have a general rule that says if they are out side the EU, be prepared for the worst but hope for the best.

Even if you take the odd drink of it Martin, you are not going to use all of that lol. I always use Humbrol Liquid Polly, anyone know haw Tamiya Extra Thin compares to liquid poly? Cannot be that different I would have thought.

I think we have to realise that customs officials are not daft enough to think that everything that goes past them labelled as a gift is in fact such an item. You take a chance with things such as this and, I admit, usually get away with it however you must be aware that if they do a spot check and you are found out you will not only forfeit the goods but you can be fined as well.

It's also worth remembering that if you do get away with it you might be better off keeping quiet about it!!

lol Graham....i thought better to get too much than not enough.

Richard...i hardly think "keeping quiet about it" will make any difference, in fact i know it wont, its well advertised on a good number of modelling forums, and all over the internet, and thats just in our hobby !!

Think of it as international co operation in a diverse trading World we now live ...if customs come a knocking on the door i will worry about it then....relax man and let me saviour the moment :-)

Cracking deal, as said, lucky you didn't get import duties, (I know theres a minumum amount and maybe this slips under?)

Anyhow, being a cheeky bugger, could I buy one of those from you perchance?

Like Graham, I use Humbrol liquid poly and have done since I discovered it years ago, that also lasts ages, it is very good, but have been wanting to try the tamiya thin ever since I first read about it.

                    Cheers,

                    Mike

Tamiya extra thin cement lasts for ages if you remember to do the top back up,otherwise it evaporates at a rapid rate.......ask me how I know!

Good deal there Martin,I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few bottles here in the UK a while ago but I paid a bit more than that.

                        Cheers

                        Steve
