    More progress pics Kubelwagon 1/9

A few more on the build. Its certainly a challenge this one as this has the full working suspension and steering rack. Also getting the doors to sit reasonably flush was fustrating. But Im getting there slowly!

This looks great! That model must be massive! Looks a fine build I'm looking forward to seeing it finished and standing next to the sofa/dog/dining table!

    All the best

Nice ! just how big is it?

I do have a bit of a soft spot for those kubelwagon jobbies, those and their aquatic brothers the Schwimwagon.

Prehaps one day when I have emptied the stash....

Looks like a good build so far. Keep it up!

so far so good. 1/9 kubelwagen

Some progress pics so far. its taking a long time to get this finish as i dont get a huge amount of time at the moment. Being a father in may and getting the spare room re-decorated for baby is one thing that is taking up my free time! i just hope i don't give it up all together when the little one arrives. Anyway let me know what you think???

I was so impressed with this thread that I went out and bought one! It really does look like a great kit so it will join the many others in the retirement fund. I'm now tempted by one of the very old ESCI motorcycles with riders to go with it.

                      slow but steady!! Kubelwagon 1/9

Some more progress pics. The Klear cote done, decals on and the seats in. The seats i decided to upholster myself as the plastics ones just look naf on they own. I brought some trousers from the charity shop and dabbed bleach on them to dis-colour, then wrapped around the original pieces to then finally glue to the frames. The duck boards i made out of the those coffee shop stirring sticks. Quite funny watching my wife walk in to nero's, grab a load of them then walk straight back out. Ha Ha slap her hand.

                        1/9 kubelwagon almost complete

Im almost there with this, just have to pick up the canopy frame and canvas from the mother in law she has putt her sewing expertise to, and then attach it, apply a bit more weathering and it will be done!

I'm so impressed with this kit that I went and bought one. Then a Zundapp with a rider and now I'm looking for a BMW with a rider.

You are doing a superb job with this and using wood for the duck boards is just my idea of modelling. I can't want to get my hands on mine!

I am well chuffed how this is turning out. This is a great kit richard but is a bit fiddly in places as you will find out. Do let us know your progress when you start it.
