Belay that. It appears they were the rounded cast hull M4A1, I only have A3s.... never mind, Plan B to follow just as soon as I work out what Plan B is. -

Nooo, the Tiger is still on the go, just how many wheels does a tank need lol. I did make a stupid mistake with the wheels, there is a set which has a long tube axel on them, they form the outer wheels I think. Well you are supposed to stick the wheels together with the axel bit sticking out the side to go between the middle layer of wheels. For some reason, might have had one eye on the telly, I stuck them together with the axels between the wheel parts so they were like bobbins. Only the following day did I spot the mistake and had to pull them apart. Fortunately, only one got broke and had to have a new axel piece made but I could kick myself when I do things like that.. A few early pics in its own thread.Comment

Graham, the Mk III Mid production models where used in Sicily, and they come across from Africa. They where Welded up and not the cast iron type. Dragon do one.

Cheers Ian. I now have three Shermans in my stash, hobby boss as per what is in shop. However, none are suitable but I now have a Plan B that will be going with my Tilly on the base but you will have to wait and see.Comment

Hi Graham
You can never have enough Shermans! Here's the kit you need:
TASCA MODELLISMO CO.,LTD.@ƒCƒMƒŠƒX —¤ŒRƒVƒƒ[ƒ}ƒ“2@‰ŠúŒ^(ƒGƒ‹EƒAƒ‰ƒƒCƒ“ 1942) ì—áЉî
Tasca Shermans are simply stunning - leave all the other manufacturers standing at the lights in my opinion. I know you've got another idea but if you ever get the chance to build one of these you will enjoy it - I promise you!
Cheers

If you mean the forum shop, it is on the blue menu bar at the top of the screen below the logo, or click on the red Shop logo at the bottom of this page.
Having said that the bottom page logo does not appear to work
but here it is anywayComment

Sorry Graham, should have known better. Tamiya do an M4 A1 in 1/48 although you'd have to scratch build sand shields and find a 30cal instead of the 50 cal machine gun supplied. I think it may need to be a direct vision hull too which is possible depending on how involved you want the build to be.
Cheers
