Please answer in simple English A.B.C., ta!

As most of you know I'm more or less computer illiterate, and I'm perfectly happy that it should stay so...However, when I see good tips and mention of products, I would like to store them for future reference.

As it is now I totally loose track and forget where I read them. So, can someone let me know, in plain speak, how I go about saving specific items either here on S.M. or transferring the stuff to my own computer.

    Thanks,

    Ron

    Easy peasy mate,

Put your pointer in the middle of the screen, right click, select from the pop up menu "Select All" then in the same pop up select "copy". Then open up word from your applications menue start a new page click in then right click your mouse when in the middle of the page this time click "Paste", job done. Just save the doc in a new folder on your desktop.

Another possibility is to go to the top of your browser and click on "Add to favourites". This will put a link in your favourites for the page you are currently looking at which can then be put into folders relevent to thier categories such as "Materials", "Build Threads", "Tutorials" etc...etc.. The downside with this is that if the page address ever changes you will loose the link so Andy's suggestion will guarrantee that you save the contents of the web site. One challenge is that you may loose the formatting so it might not look quite the same in a word document.

Thanks to all for the input to my question. Repeated or not, it doesn't matter. I'm just grateful that I now know what to do.
