    Arrrrggggg....Third time lucky.

In the last few days I have brought two kits,a Tamiya 1/48 Bf109-E and a Eduards 1/32 Bf109-E. The Tamiya had a molding fault on the undercarriage wheels so I took it back to the shop and exchanged it for the Eduard Bf109 plus some more cash. Well tonight I decided to have a good look at the Eduards kit before putting it in the stash. To my horror the fuselage doesnt line up and is bowed like a banana plus it has some bad flash on it The flash could be cleaned off but the bow and the mis-alignment would be imposible to correct. So another trip back to the shop to see what they say. Will It be third time lucky and get a good kit.

    Alright mate

I know how you feel. Living here in Moscow i've bought a few Zvezda models. They remind me of bananas and it was interesting to have to build a curvacious T-34. But it is strange to hear such problems with a Tamiya model. So far i've been pretty lucky with the Japanese kits. Russian and Ukrainaian ones... nuff said

Stranger still to have an Eduard warped, their moulding is usually of a very high quality. Must be a re-box rather than one of their originals.

Or it's been stored on top of a radiator/hot water tank/other heater or heat source.

        Cheers

Took it back this morning and changed it for something else. Shop were great about it. Happy now. And postie has just brought me some more goodies.
