Picked up the new SAM today and having a flick through and a mere few pages in what's there but an ad for airfix announcing their new tooling for a 1:48 Sea Vixen, thi is one jet I really really like, can be built with wings folded too.

Must resist... I know, it was featured in The new Airfix modelling magazine that started this month (very good it is too). It was hoped it would be released at Telford but the shipments were delayed or something. It does look a superb model. I was saying to Ian, I really fancy one but I don't know why as it is so not my thing....Resist, .... must resist.....

You'll have to give us a box and contents review as soon as it arrives Ian, i've restrained myself just for the moment as my stash pile is in imminent danger of toppling from being top heavy, I need to build a few before I get more.

(that excludes the 2 i'm waiting for from ebay currently of course, well, they were a bargain, what can i say)

I ordered an S.E.5a as well also some decals for the Hunter Mk6. What I should really be buying is a couple of display cases!!!! I am seriously getting to the point of having no space for things, as I found out last night when I went up to put the Hawk in the cabinet...

It's always interesting to see new tooling from Airfix and see how they stack up with the best of them. I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews about this one.

Oh yes, it is a very nice kit.

But I'm waiting for the Valiant to come out in the new year. I think they said it would be April.

Yes , I have just ordered one . Cant wait . I have also ordered a copy of Airfix Model World . The Valiant sounds too good to miss . Ever increasing to-do stash .
