    Expensive winter already

Looks like this winter is going to be expensive. So far it's cost me two new tyres and this morning my wife went off the road into a ditch. She's fine which is the main thing but there is slight damage to the car (not enough to claim for) so i guess it's going to have to be a lot cheaper xmas this year

Last year I slid my car into a dry stone wall as I tried to get out of the drive. Yup, it was my own wall as well!!

Well mates, when things seem to be going a little off the road it's time to give yourself a nice little model kit for Christmas, run to the shed and forget about the rest!

        Cheers

That's the problem. The money i had put together for my new xmas present model now has to be used repairing the car

Never a good thing and no one expects or wants added expense at this ridiculously expensive time of year. However, let's be grateful that no one is hurt.

Glad to here your wife is ok , a couple of tyres is a small price to pay Al , like Richard last year I had a close call myself - going to work hit black ice down a country lane went spinning round I don`t know how many times then into a mud ditch ( the only bit of road that is not tree lined ) and then got thrown back on the road , for a busy lane I was lucky that no one was behind me and their was no oncoming traffic , someone was looking after me that day , smoked about 20 fags in an hour and did not stop shaking for about 2 hours , car ended up an insurance job - damaged door cill front wing front bumper and fender and ripped out electric wires from underneath I don`t go that route now when the weather is bad funny enough

I`m sure it won`t stop Santa bringing you what you wan`t

Glad to hear that there that the misses was fine. Cars can be fixed or replaced. Wives cant. (or can they...lol).

I must confess that when the weather gets snowy we jump in the 4x4. Not fool proof by any means, but the tyres help. We will have to get winter tyres for the little car though. Driving around in the 4x4 which uses twice the petrol is bad enough. £80 to fill up verses £30 and it lasts longer too.

The thing that buggered me thias year was my PC going tits up. Going to be a while before I can get that one sorted.
