Built it, and had the same idea. Bought the lights from Maplins, but even their smallest ones are too big for the wing tips. I think there is a company who do a bespoke kit - a search of the interweb may find them! -
How about a bit of fibre optic from a light source to the wingtip?
You can find it on those odd little christmas tree things if it can't be found to buy.
