Hi guys, new guy with a few questions :)

Hi guys, Ben here. Im a student currently studying digital art in north east uk.I found this site by accident but theres some really interesting stuff on here, i especially like the favourites section, il probably be using that one for some inspiration in a few months (after my final year is done). I think ive worked with digital stuff for so long i can hardly remember a time when i used paint and glue instead of a mouse, lol.

I have a quick question if someone will oblige me. (i couldnt find a specific place for questions so here was the next best place). I found this place accidentally because ive been searching for some information on clear coats. Ive been making some custom console paint jobs and computer cases and such and im not satisfied with the clear coat im using, (spray can plasti kote).

I wonder if you could point in the right direction, i need a clear coat thats durable as controllers and such are used constantly and somethign that doesnt have a sticky / clammy touch when its dry.

Also, I have heard that future floor wax is pretty good, do you think this fits the bill for what im looking for?

    Thanks for any help guys

    Ben

    Hi and welcome.

Some one in the trade will come with a definitive reply before long but I would think if its an item that is often touched, picked up or 'played with' the best isea would most likely be a two component laquer รก la car paint clear coat.
