    Sun bleeching Idea

    Hey all

I washed a 1:35 sherman the other day and to my supprise I sun beeched the tank by use really hot water. Is this silly, before hands and faces are added could you dip you infantry in hot water the beech there uniforms?

I think you will find this is due to the paint (assuming it is Acrylic) getting softened in the hot water and thinning out. Never tried it myself though.

You might just run into difficulties with the paint coming loose from the surface of the model so at leasr take great care when handling.

If it works,it works which is great. My only reservation would be how repeatable is it? Are you able to control the effect to give a consistent result or is it a bit hit and miss?

          Cheers
