    What magazines do you like?

Since I made a false start at returning to the hobby a year or so ago, I have been buying the new Airfix MW magazine and it has a good mix of articles in it, but I find it a bit aircraft heavy for me but I suppose that reflects the the greater interest in aircraft.

What magazines do you like and particularly which one of the 'military' magazines would you recommend as there seems to be several on the shelves of my local WHS?

Scale aircraft modelling is the one for me and also the above mentioned model military international. I highly recommend both.

I've tried all the aircraft modelling magazines (and Airfix magazine). But the one I think is the best is 'Scale Aviation Modeler International'.Its the only one I buy every month now.

I flick through them to see if there's anything interesting, 9 times out of 10 I don't buy anymore as most of the articles are pretty much repeats of previous stuff but Scale Model Millitary International seems to be the one I have most of and quite a lot of Millitary Modeller

Now, that is interesting. When I was last involved with the hobby, the magazine to read was Military Modelling, Back in those days it was published by MAP. Today it is still around, now published by MyHobbyStore, but nobody has mentioned it in this thread...

...I know the long-time editor, Ken Jones, recently took a back seat but I have not seen a copy for a while.

My mag of choice is Model Airplane International. Not a bad mag - don't use too many big words! - and gives some nice colour profiles for the kit builds
