    Thanks Laurie.

There's also a programme tonight on Yesterday Channel (Freeview No.12) called "Who betrayed the bomber boys?". I think it's at 9pm.

      Nice one Laurie,

There's also lots of interesting bit and pieces on BBC News - Queen unveils RAF Bomber Command memorial search around and there's quite a few stories and films etc.

Missed the 5pm slot, and fell asleep watching the 11pm one, I must go and see the memorial.

Was it good and is it on catch-up, must find out.

        Tony.

Yes it is really good Tony. More than worth watching. Some very emotional bits.

Only criticism is that we were not given much in the way of close ups of the bronze statues. The bits we got were just magnificent. Fine sculptor. Detail we saw was great & the arrangement position of the crew were absolutely perfect. They looked what they were young men off to war. Reminded me of the Commando Sculpture just under the lee of Ben Nevis.

The setting on the very edge of Green Park is perfect. Seen by those on the road & those in the park. First stop when in London next.

PP Well done Robin Gibb as he was a great motivator in all this. Shame he did not see it all.

It's a fine momument and a fitting memorial.

Fitting that it has finally been built but a shame that it is 50 years late and too late for many of the veterans who never lived to see it.

            Cheers

            Steve
