Thanks again chaps. So you are getting there Steve. Keep at it.

        Yes very happy Colin thanks.

Tony : what is the secret ? Blimey not got a clue. Think when she gets annoyed with me I take no notice. When I get annoyed I just think of the next dinner dodge into the garage & work on my model.

Na not any of that after 51 years (along time is it not ?) you just know each other so well & carry on. Have to admit that at times when Pauline gets annoyed with me I go off & have a real chuckle. Also when you have four great children & four great grandsons you have built a a great foundation.

That is a wonderful photo. You do indeed look very happy.

I am a mere beginner as I have only been together with my Carina for 18 years, only the last eleven of which we have actually been married.

Thanks Michael very nice of you.

Matter of interest I love Edinburgh. It is a lovely & friendly city.

Maternal Grandfather came from the Shetlands. Paternal Great came from Glasgow. Have two kilts in the wardrobe. The first I wore all over Scotland very proud of that. Stayed at the clan chief of the Stewarts just below Fort William now a Hotel. Not so proud doubt the kilts will now fit.

Wow Laurie, I just realised you and your good lady got married two months before I was born.

Congratulations and many more happy years to come.

we live in a sleepy little town just south of Edinburgh, just off the bypass, called loanhead. I must admit though, even at its busiest, Edinburgh is still a charming city. much nicer than the cities in the midlands where I lived up till three years ago.

Congratulations to you and your good lady, Laurie.

The wife and I are just about to reach our 9th (seems nothing compared to 51 though).
