    Model donations.

    Hi all,

I was wondering if we do a similar scheme to the Americans where they donate model kits to the forces for the guys to build whilst on down time? It seems a really good idea, I know I loved painting my figures whilst off the clock in the army. If anyone knows of such a scheme please let me know so I can contribute a kit or two, or maybe if there isnt one we could look to setting one up?

Sound like a great idea could be set up via the forum and it would give the members and John some great advertising

I agree, we could be running group builds alongside our brave lads and lassies, now that would be something eh? plus I suppose home wouldn't seem so far away if they had a supportive group like us pestering them every 5 minutes for build updates

            I'm definitely in !!!!!

Great idea Ade. Most relaxing thing model making & perfect for our guys. Keeps the mind ticking.

But one thing I am sure of it will only be a sucess if somebody heads it up. Some one or a group with push & determination.

Apologies for the pessimism but it is a fact.

Didn't the IPMS (UK) have a scheme running? I can't remember but I'm sure somone mentioned it to me at a show. I'll try and check but if not I think it is a great idea and would be happy to contribute.

                    Cheers

Hi all, did anyone find out if there was a scheme going or if anyone wanted to head one up? I havent brought it up at our club meets yet incase someone does, but if not I'd be happy to suggest it. Also we could have a chat with the local model shops and even send a letter to Modelzone to ask for support?
