    Clamps

    Anybody help I've got a magnifying lamp the long white ones that attach to the table and the dam clamp has snapped in half looked on internet and all I can find is new lamps the light works fine tried everything I can but it's so heavy tips anything I put it into so please HELP!!!

    How about a block of hard wood about 2" x 2" x 3". Drill a hole to hold the end of the light fitting and use two ordinary 'G' clamps to hold it to your desk.

        if that fails let me known, if you take a picture of the one you have broken I bet I have one that I can post to you, have bought so many lamps but never use the clamp since i have a glass work station.

          Cheers Jason I'm going to try Tom if it fails been a postman I will send you a sheet of stamps to pay for the postage there's about 20 first class stamps should cover any cost

            I just drilled a hole in the desk and put the lamp in to that. Never fallen over either.

              Like the idea but there is a person sitting not to far from me that would see me drilling a hole in the dinning room table as a bit shall we say this been a family site a bit much...a few years till I can get my loft converted in to a modellers paradise..but I will tell her your advice just to see the look on her face :smile1::smile1::smile1:
